Clemson, SC — May 28, 2025 — Clemson Men’s Basketball transfer Carter Welling has partnered with Ralph Hayes Toyota in a community-driven NIL initiative that puts purpose in the driver’s seat. As part of the agreement, Welling will drive a 2025 Toyota Tundra throughout his time in Clemson, serving not just as a brand ambassador but also as a philanthropic leader in the Upstate community.

The cornerstone of the partnership is the launch of their “Drive for Change” campaign. A quarterly giveback initiative where Carter will fill the bed of his Tundra with donation items such as canned goods, toys, and clothing to deliver to local nonprofits and charitable organizations. Each drop-off will be coordinated by Ralph Hayes Toyota and spotlighted through social media to encourage community involvement and awareness.

This partnership means more than just having a great truck to drive,” said Welling. “It’s about using my platform to support causes that matter and show what student-athletes can do beyond the court. I’m proud to work with Ralph Hayes Toyota to give back to the Clemson community.

Ralph Hayes Toyota, a family-owned dealership serving the Upstate for over 70 years, sees this collaboration as a way to blend brand values with impactful action.

Carter is a high-character young man with a passion for making a difference,” said Robert Hayes, owner of Ralph Hayes Toyota. “We’re excited to support him on and off the court and believe the ‘Drive for Change’ campaign will inspire others to get involved and give back.

This partnership reflects the growing impact of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities in creating meaningful community partnerships between local businesses and student-athletes.
