Broad St. NIL Launches as Nation's First Student-Led NIL Company at Temple University

Philadelphia, PA -- September 11th, 2025 -- Broad St. NIL, a groundbreaking new organization based at Temple University, has officially launched as the nation's first student-led Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) company. Designed and operated by a class of Temple University students over the course of the fall 2025 semester. Broad St. NIL aims to redefine how student-athletes engage with NIL opportunities while prioritizing authenticity, education, and long-term growth.

Broad St. NIL's Mission is clear:

Rooted in Philadelphia's culture of grit, community, and innovation, Broad St. NIL is uniquely positioned to serve Temple student-athletes and partners through creative campaigns, brand collaborations, and educational initiatives. By being student-run, the company not only provides athletes with valuable NIL opportunities but also gives Temple students hands-on experience at the intersection of sports, business, and entrepreneurship. The class itself has taken a professional route by having an executive board and sub-committees to fully execute the organization's daily operations.

The ability to steward this class and organization has allowed me to meld my past experiences as the executive director of the TUFF Fund, Temple's NIL collective, with the students' unique ideas and viewpoints to create a one-of-a-kind experience on North Broad Street," said Andy Carl, STHM Professor
