Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced sports partnerships sales manager with a proven track record of opening new enterprise accounts, driven to be a top performer in sales and a highly competitive team player to join Postgame as our first Brand Partnerships Manager. 

This integral role will report directly to the founding team and is responsible for driving new business and achieving revenue goals through successful prospecting, pipeline management, strong relationships, business acumen, solution and objective based ideation and selling, and negotiation.

As a key part of Postgame’s team, you will:

  • Manage a full sales-cycle including lead generation qualification and other deliverables for closing deals while consistently delivering on aggressive sales targets

  • Identify and manage individual account prospect list, CRM input, relationship development, client objective-based ideation, negotiating, closing, contract execution and full transition of new partner accounts to the assigned customer success manager 

  • Hunt and aggressively prospect new business to generate new opportunities via outbound prospecting and networking

  • Target potential best-in-brand corporate partners at the regional, national, and international level, with a key focus on national, and international brands

  • Research, ideate and execute industry leading partnership sales concepts and platforms

  • Ensure partner-based business objectives, asset alignment, analytics, and world class storytelling is incorporated into all new sales pitches.

  • Build go-to-market offerings that excite brand marketers, maximize sponsorship revenue, achieve an advertiser’s objectives, and provide the best value to our community of collegiate athletes

  • Study emerging industry trends and activation best practices to inform custom solutions

  • Collaborate and support the campaign management team in executing all partner relationships, contracts, campaigns and events

  • Continually assess the industry landscape, market demands, innovation, and emerging categories to keep sales strategies and tactics relevant.

  • Provide timely and insightful input back to other corporate functions, particularly product management, marketing, and engineering

  • Work closely with COO to continually optimize the sales process

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years consistent quota over achievement in business development focused position(s) in sports & entertainment, corporate sponsorships, advertising, software sales, and/or creative branding agencies.

  • Full cycle seller, with experience identifying and invading target accounts while managing the sales cycle from business champion to C-Level Executives.

  • Has a deep understanding of collegiate athletics with a passion for college athlete benefitting from their Name, Image and Likeness

  • Experience with and understanding of sports marketing, digital marketing including influencer and affiliate marketing

  • Must have the ability for analytical reasoning of sales and research data (CPM, impressions, site metrics, data analysis, etc.), and must be technologically savvy with propensity for understanding new technology platforms and how they apply to our business model

  • Possess existing industry relationships and ability to establish new contacts and interact at senior levels

  • Experience selling into the retail, e-commerce, financial, technology, auto, and consumer packaged good industries is a plus

  • Prior activation and/or agency experience preferred but not required.

  • Use a strategic, consultative, and solution-based approach to determine customer needs and establish trusting relationships with prospects

  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational, oral and written, presentation, and project management skills are imperative to this role

  • possess a positive, solution oriented, collaborative mindset, be a relationship oriented individual, excel at storytelling and creativity, and embrace innovation

  • Highly creative and entrepreneurial 

  • Excellent Sales DNA and sales methodology

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, goal-oriented and rapidly evolving environment

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Suite, and CRM (Hubspot or Salesforce)

  • Remote; Philadelphia, PA or Sarasota, FL

COMPENSATION:

  • Competitive base salary and uncapped commission,
